MEDRAD's Heilman Center has been awarded the Best Plant Award by IndustryWeek Magazine for 2007 for efforts to increase competitiveness, enhance customer satisfaction and create stimulating and rewarding work environments. MEDRAD received a Tech 50 Award in the High Rise category at an annual awards ceremony hosted by the Pittsburgh Technology Council. The award recognized MEDRAD for advancing the region's technology profile and consistently adding jobs over a several-year span. John Friel accepted the award in a ceremony October 16 and thanked MEDRAD's 2000+ employees for making it happen.
The new name and branding for MEDRAD, Inc.’s new interventional products division is MEDRAD Interventional / Possis. MEDRAD has signed a distribution and co-marketing partnership agreement with PETNET Solutions, a fully owned subsidiary of Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. The agreement will enable health care providers to inject Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) for Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT) imaging procedures in an innovative, new way.

MEDRAD's XDS™ Extravasation Detector has received a 2008 Medical Design Excellence Award® (MDEA). The XDS employs a technology that aids in the detection of leaking intravenous contrast media from the injection site into surrounding tissue during computed tomography (CT) diagnostic studies.
